ABOUT US
EnFi is an venture capital fund founded in 2021 by Michiko Kakiya, who is a financial professional with practical experience in the game industy.
After working on the development tools incubation for PlayStation and the launch of PSP at Sony Computer Entertainment (now Sony Interactive Entertainment), she transitioned to the financial industry, working as a securities analyst, analyzing and investing in the gaming industry.
With practical experience in the gaming industry, including launching initiatives at Sony's PlayStation division, and a background as a financial professional, she leverages this hybrid expertise to establish and manage game-focused funds and fund-of-funds (FoF).
Also, EnFi places a strong emphasis on international investments and has a robust network to stay updated on global trends.
EnFi benefits from mentors with backgrounds at Sony and Nomura Securities, including Shinkichi Okamoto, former CTO of Sony Computer Entertainment. These mentors merge their knowledge of the gaming industry with investment expertise to structure and operate funds.

MICHIKO KAKIYA
Founding Partner
Japanese born in Hong Kong. Graduated University of California, Berkeley.
She was in charge of the Tools & Middleware Program, a VC feature of PlayStation at Sony Computer Entertainment Select cutting-edge game techniques. For the next 10 years, she was engaged in game industry research and individual company performance analysis as a securities analyst at a foreign-affiliated securities company or a foreign-affiliated management company. After working as an independent VC, she established EnFi Inc. and assumed the position of representative.
