ABOUT US
EnFi is an venture capital fund founded in 2021 by Michiko Kakiya, who is a financial professional with years of experience in the game industy.
After working on the development tool incubation for PlayStation and the launch of PSP at Sony Computer Entertainment (now Sony Interactive Entertainment), Michiko transitioned to the financial industry, working as a securities analyst, analyzing and investing in the gaming industry.
With experience in the gaming industry, including launching initiatives at Sony's PlayStation division, and a background as a financial professional, she leverages this hybrid expertise to establish and manage game-focused funds and fund-of-funds (FoF).
Also, EnFi places a strong emphasis on international investments and has a robust network to stay updated on global trends.
EnFi benefits from mentors with backgrounds at Sony and Nomura Securities, including Shinichi Okamoto, former CTO of Sony Computer Entertainment. These mentors merge their knowledge of the gaming industry with investment expertise to structure and operate funds.

MICHIKO KAKIYA
Founding Partner
Michiko Kakiya, a Japanese professional raised in Hong Kong and a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, has built an impressive career in the tech and gaming industries.
She began her journey at Sony Computer Entertainment, where she led the Tools & Middleware Program, an accelarator feature of PlayStation, scouting and implementing cutting-edge game development techniques.
For the next decade, Michiko shifted to the investment sector, specializing in the gaming industry as a securities analyst at an international securities firm and an asset management company.
Later, she ventured into independent venture capital before founding EnFi, where she now serves as founding partner.
